Trail maintenance planned for this weekend

Nomambo has trail maintenance planned for this weekend. Looks like they meeting in the Spillway parking lot for 7:00am on both Saturday and Sunday. Ray (our trail maint chairman) plans to go help on one of the days and would like to get a group together to help out our fellow riders. I am planning to attend and right now we both are flexible as to which day we go. Post up if want to join and we can carpool/caravan.

4 Man Team Time Trial Championship

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are very sorry for the late notice. The Bayou Country Cyclists / Green Team and Tiger Cycling Foundation are proud to present the 2011 USCF LAMBRA 4 Man Team Time Trial Championships which will be held on Sunday, August 21. This year, the TTT Championships will be held in Labadieville, LA (a few miles north of Thibodaux, LA and about an hour or so south of Baton Rouge, LA). It will be a flat, out and back course. MS-training rides have started!

The MS-training rides have started again this season and this Sunday's (July 24) ride will be at Alligator Bayou.
The start is at 8 AM at the Alligator Bayou parking lot. For those familiar in the area, the ride will follow the familiar route via Alligator Bayou to River Road and on to the split. The 36' route will be marked and there is a rest stop planned at Roberto's River Road restaurant.
Future training rides for this season will be mostly in the Abita Springs area. For details see the attached training ride schedule.

The actual MS-150 ride will be in the weekend of 1 and 2 October.

River Road Closure, July 15 - 22

LaDOTD has announced a TOTAL ROAD CLOSURE FOR LA 327 (RIVER ROAD) FROM THE EVENING OF JULY 15 THROUGH JULY 22 (day and night) Gardere Lane for 1000 feet west, including the intersection of Gardere Lane and River Road, to construct the final tie-in of the new River Road.

Please ride with caution in the area and be on the lookout for detour routes as well as work crews and their equipment.
